Developing Spiritual Confidence

Self-Confidence is having absolute knowing, trust, and belief in one’s ability or powers. 

Spiritual Confidence is having absolute knowing, trust, and belief in the universe/ divine/ infinite intelligence’s powers. 

Having both self-confidence and spiritual confidence will give you the ability to accomplish your new year goals. 

Why is it necessary to have both?

Self-Confidence is necessary to take consistent action. If you do not believe in your own capabilities then you will not have the motivation to take action. Spiritual Confidence gives you faith in the unseen. This is necessary when you are going after big goals that you have never achieved before. When you start to work towards goals that stretch you, the self- doubt and fear of not being able to do it starts to sink in. 

This is because you have not accomplished it yet so your self-confidence can vacillate between “I can do it!” and “I am not sure if this is possible.” Having spiritual confidence will help power you when your confidence is low.

What can you do to develop your spiritual confidence?

One thing you can do is to start learning how to grow your faith muscles. First you must believe that there are divine forces that are working for you on your behalf. Prayer and affirmations are some tools you can use to help strengthen your faith muscles.

Another thing is to learn how to trust your intuition. Your logical brain wants to keep you safe and will only analyze what it can see. However, your intuition often sends you confirmation through “feelings”. Feelings are your internal GPS system. When something feels good, it means you are on the right path.

Lastly, you can grow your self-confidence and spiritual confidence by attending immersive retreats and conferences. You might see people talking about going to retreats in Bali or attending Tony Robbins events like Unleash The Power Within (UPW).
